Painting the Livingroom

With help from Karrie and my parents, i painted my:

• living room

• dining room

• hallway

• stairs

• upstairs hallway

• living room ceiling

• front closet

It took 2 days and almost 4 cans of paint.

I was originally thinking of gray paint but after doing a bit of Photoshop drawings i thought that it would look very bland. Here's what it would have looked like.

But i decided to go with a type of tan with a satin finish. The room doesn't have a lot of light so the shinier finish would help to brighten the room.

Painting the stairs. The wood platform was great for getting the high walls.

I go from finger painting to the Sistine Chapel

If you're like me then you've probably used the program on your computer called Paint. I highly doubt though that you're as awesome as i am and have drawn a picture as sweet as this.
Then the other day i tried the free program Sculptris. It's amazing. It's super fun and easy to draw cool faces. http://www.sculptris.com/download.html
I made this guy in the first 5 minutes of using it. Seriously, this only took me 5 minutes. The thing that makes this program so cool is that it's so easy to use. Much like Paint there are only a few functions, 5 to be exact; flatten, grab, smooth, inflate and crease. That's it.
It makes you feel like you know what you're doing. Give it a try, it's actually really fun and did i say it's easy?

Later i spent MAYBE 15 minutes and drew this face.

MSU Cornhole

In honor of the Spartans making it to the Final 4, two years in a row i thought i would post the cornhole game i made a few years ago. For some reason i'm super proud of how this turned out. Probably because i though it would only take a few hours and it ended up taking a few weeks.
There are a lot of versions out there but the reason that this is far superior to them all is because it is strong and light weight. Most people use 1/2" plywood and 2x4's which is way too heavy. I made a frame out of 1 x 1/2" pine then used 1/8" hardboard.
