Darth Vader at School

Last week at Karrie's nephews elementary school fair, i walked into a classroom and saw this: Darth Vader preparing to do the cake walk.

While some Storm Troopers watched.

I didn't stick around to see who won when the music stopped.

I did see them later in the library, and he was not holding a cake. But Boba Fett had joined them.

Firefly

I just started watching the show Firefly. It came out in 2002 and was canceled half way through it's first season. Later they released the rest of the episodes and even made a movie called Serenity in 2005. It's still rated by some as the best sci-fi tv show ever. Wikipedia says, "Firefly is an American space-western."

The best way to describe it would say that it's kind of like Star Wars meets Indiana Jones meets Oceans 11.

It's not my favorite show of all time, but it's good and if they bring it back it has a lot of potential to be great.

Zelda turns 25

25 years ago on February 21, 1986 The Legend of Zelda was released. Play the game - The Legend of Zelda

This is definitely my favorite game of all time. It has everything a great game needs. There's lots of action requiring quick decisions. You need to discover hidden secrets and come up with different ideas to get past each level. The way that the game combines all of these elements is what makes it such a great game. And the music is awesome still today.
Since the original version that came out for the NES, there have been many other versions, including The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This is a 3D version for the N64. It was an amazing game too and had things like fishing and horseback riding while shooting a bow.

The story is similar to others like The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. Where someone, who's safe and quiet home is threatened, sets off on an impossible quest to save their world. Even though when he sets off he isn't the fastest, smartest or strongest he decided to go anyway. The kind of idea that shows the difference one person can make. I like these kind of stories. And with Zelda being a video game, you are not just following the story, you become the character and feel more of a connection.

Apparently when you go off on a huge quest you have to put your foot up on a rock and stare off into the distance.
